Description
Cooperoceras was a genus of nautiloid cephalopod that resembled a spiny ammonite. It was around 4 long and 3 inches tall. It is believed that the Cooperoceras was a carnivore that consumed small animals.
Its coiled shell allowed it to live in the murky low light depths of the Ocean. It live during the Permian Period, which began at the end of the Carboniferous Period 298.9 million years ago.
