Blue Lace Agate is a type of Agate that has blue and white banding patterns throughout. An Agate is a name given to varieties of banded Chalcedony, which is a mineral from the Quartz family. Blue Lace Agate is usually on the rarer side of stones, causing it to be most expensive than most stones. Some specimens, in particular, have a coating of tiny druzy crystals within or on top of the banding formations.
This stone can be found throughout Africa and have recently had localities discovered in Eastern Europe.
Blue Lace Agate is known for promoting a sense of calm, peace, and emotional healing by reducing stress and anxiety.
It is particularly effective for enhancing communication and clear expression of thoughts and feelings, as it is associated with the throat chakra.
Look for delicate, wavy lines or bands running through the stone. These natural patterns are a sign of genuine agate. You can also do a light test and hold it up to a light. Natural Blue Lace Agate shouldn’t be completely see through but slightly cloudy or opaque.
